The record was also tied the next night after Williams turned the trick, when Jordan Lyons of Furman finished 15-for-34 from deep in a 107-67 victory over North Greenville (11/15/18). Mississippi Valley State Tidbits -
Robert Morris improved to 2-0 all-time against the Delta Devils and has picked up both of those wins in the last four years ... The Colonials received a season-high 39 points from the bench ... RMU held Mississippi Valley State to a shooting percentage of just 16.7 percent (3-for-18) from beyond the arc and during its two-game homestand, opponents converted just 18.8 percent (6-for-32) of its attempts from deep ... The contest marked the second consecutive sellout (1,016) at the student recreation & fitness center at the North Athletic Complex.

Breakthrough - Senior forward Malik Petteway put forth the most complete game of his RMU career in a 68-59 win over Mississippi Valley State (11/17/18), establishing a career high with 26 points while grabbing 11 rebounds for his fourth career double-double. Petteway knocked down 10 of his 11 shots from the field and was a perfect 6-for-6 at the free-throw line and enters Monday's game leading the Northeast Conference in field goal percentage at 73.9 percent (17-for-23). The big man has also shown an adept touch at the free-throw line, as he ranks sixth in the league at 85.7 percent (12-for-14). During RMU's two-game homestand, Petteway averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 80 percent (12-for-15) from the field and 91.7 percent (11-for-12) at the line.

Did You Know? This season marks just the second time in program history three different Colonials have eclipsed the 20-point plateau at least once in the first four games of the season. This year Josh Williams (20 points @ USC), Charles Bain (25 @ Missouri State) and Malik Petteway (26 points vs. Mississippi Valley State) have turned the trick. That trio joins Jeremy Chappell, A.J. Jackson and Jimmy Langhurst, who accomplished the feat in the first four contests of the 2007-08 campaign.

Point Break - Sophomore guard Jon Williams dished out a season-high seven assists to help lead the Colonials to a 68-59 victory over Mississippi Valley State (11/17/18) that closed out a two-game homestand. In the last two seasons, Robert Morris has posted a record of 9-4 (.692) when Williams finishes with at least five assists in a game. Included in that record is a perfect 5-0 mark when Williams records at least seven dimes. Through four games, Williams ranks second in the Northeast Conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.33) and fifth in assists (5.00 per game).

Defensively Speaking - Robert Morris has won 10 consecutive games when holding opponents to less than 60 points dating back to the 2016-17 season after a 68-59 victory over Mississippi Valley State (11/17/18) that wrapped up a two-game homestand at the North Athletic Complex. In nine years under head coach Andrew Toole, the Colonials are 57-7 (.890) when turning the trick. The last loss for RMU when yielding under 60 points was a 48-47 setback @ Mount St. Mary's (1/26/17).
