Moon Township, Pa. - Robert Morris University women's lacrosse will clash with traditional power Louisville for the third time in program history on Saturday, as the Cardinals make their first trip to Joe Walton Stadium, wrapping up a two-game homestand for the Colonials.

Robert Morris topped St. Bonaventure 11-6, shutting out the Bonnies for a stretch of 29:38 in the second half. The Colonials bore down on possession, record 38 ground balls, the second most in a single game in program history.

DANGEROUS DEFENSE
Robert Morris had the top defense in the NEC and one of the NCAA's best in 2017, leading the conference in ground balls and caused turnovers, as well as being the nation's No. 2 team in caused turnovers and 4th in ground balls. The theme has held strong in the 2018. RMU is ranked 5th in the NCAA in ground balls per game (23.25, 2nd in NEC), 15th in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game (11.00, 2nd in NEC), and scoring defense is 17th (9.63, 4th in NEC).

Sophia Eureka has had the magic stick for the Colonials, leading the team in goal-scoring with 10 on the season. The junior is tied for second in total points with 11, along with

Kelly Colegrove has guarded the Colonials net-front with authority, leading the team with 18 caused turnovers, ranked first in the Northeast Conference and17th in the NCAA, averaging 2.25 caused turnovers per game this season. Colegrove recorded a career-high five caused turnovers in against George Washington earlier this year.

The Colonials have not found the win column in the first two meetings with ACC power Louisville. The Cardinals walloped RMU 19-3 in the first contest back in 2008, but Robert Morris kept it close in last season's meeting with 18
th ranked Louisville in a 9-4 loss, both on the Cards home turf.

Madison Burke were recognized by the Northeast Conference for their performances against St. Bonaventure last Sunday. Lynch tallied four points with a hat trick and an assist, while Burke collected three ground balls and caused four turnovers.

Katelyn Miller returns in goal to defend again for RMU after a successful frosh campaign. Miller posted an 11-6-0 record a season ago. Miller looks solid as ever, posting a season-high 13 saves in an outing at Liberty. Miller's 9.64 goals against average is fourth in the NEC and 18
th in the NCAA this season.

Dana Davis is the definition of an all-around midfielder, bringing a balanced and determined style to the field. An all-NEC first team honoree last season, Davis has earned league honors in each of her three seasons, an all-Rookie team member as a freshman and a second-team sophomore. Davis is among the NCAA's active career leaders in Ground Balls (29th, 166). Davis is six ground balls shy of surpassing RMU's all-time record of 171 (Colleen O'Donnell '12).

The Colonials welcome seven freshman to the program in 2018, including five from the state of Maryland, with one from Pennsylvania and one from Texas. Six of the seven have seen game action so far this season.

The Colonials have posted five consecutive winning seasons, with the last four resulting in trips to the Northeast Conference postseason tournament. Robert Morris holds a 49-36 record over the last five years. RMU went 11-7 overall last season and 5-2 in NEC play.
