RMU Succumbs To Sharks In Home Finale

Colonials honor seniors prior to start of game at North Athletic Complex

Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University men's soccer team concluded the home portion of its 2019 schedule Friday with a 3-0 loss to Long Island at the North Athletic Complex.
 
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
The Sharks grabbed the lead just 3:18 into the contest, as Kyle Parrish scored on a free kick that tucked under the bar. A little over 10 minutes later, LIU (8-6-1 / 5-1-1 NEC) earned a penalty kick and converted to help LIU grab a 2-0 advantage. Papa Ndoye converted the penalty kick for the Sharks, his seventh goal of the 2019 campaign.
 
SENIORS HONORED
Prior to the game, RMU honored its seven seniors, including Noah Elamin, a redshirt senior, Christian Snatchko, Onando Collins, Christian Coridon and Christopher Coridon, Corey Cunningham and Justin Cole.
 
ONE MORE
Jonas Dovland added another tally for LIU in the second half, scoring at 70:27 with a shot to the upper right corner. It was the first goal of the season for Dovland.
 
CLASS ACT
Cunningham asked to sub out of the contest at the 85:31 mark, giving Cole the final four and-a-half minutes in his spot. Cunningham, who has logged over 800 minutes in 2019 for the Colonials, has started 10 of his 12 games in 2019.
