- The Robert Morris University men's basketball team concludes its 2018-19 regular season schedule Saturday with a 4:00 p.m. tip against Wagner at the Spiro Sports Center on Staten Island, N.Y.
 
- RMU currently sits in third place in the Northeast Conference standings with a 10-7 (.588) league mark. The Colonials are tied with Sacred Heart. Robert Morris is assured of at least one home game in the 2019 Northeast Conference Tournament and can finish no higher than third in the league standings.
 
- RMU opened a two-game road trip to close out the 2018-19 regular season with an 87-63 loss @ Sacred Heart (2/28/19). The Colonials fell behind, 9-0, and never recovered. The Pioneers grabbed their first double-digit lead, 12-2, at the 16:46 mark of the first half as Sean Hoehn scored a game-high 31 points for SHU, the most points scored by a student-athlete against Robert Morris in 2018-19.
 
- Sophomore forward Charles Bain paced Robert Morris against Sacred Heart with 17 points and four rebounds. He shot 6-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, while knocking down both of his attempts at the free-throw line.
 
- Sophomore guard Jon Williams scored 12 points and dished out a pair of assists against the Pioneers, while junior forward Yannis Mendy finished with 10 points, going 4-for-4 from the field and 2-for-3 at the free-throw line.
 
- Senior guard Matty McConnell leads the Northeast Conference in steals with an average of 1.80 per contest thanks to 54 thefts in 30 games. RMU's active leading scorer (1,072 points) and rebounder (497), McConnell needs three caroms to become the 14th player in program history to eclipse career totals of 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.
 
- Senior guard Josh Williams leads the NEC in three-point field goals made per game (2.97) and ranks third in the RMU single-season record book for triples (89), trailing only Scott Shepherd, who finished with 93 three-pointers in 1988-89, and Karvel Anderson, who dropped 119 triples in 2013-14.
 
- Head coach Andrew Toole owns the highest winning percentage (.617) in games decided by five points or less (minimum 50 games) during the KenPom era (2002 to present). In nine seasons under Toole, the Colonials have posted a record of 58-36 in games decided by five points or less, including 3-4 in 2018-19.
 
- The Colonials closed out the home portion of their regular-season schedule at the North Athletic Complex with a 67-62 win over St. Francis Brooklyn (2/23/19). RMU fell behind, 33-22, in the first half before climbing back to earn the win. Senior guard Josh Williams hit three-pointers on three consecutive possessions for Robert Morris to turn a 49-48 deficit into a 57-52 lead with 4:10 remaining.

Sacred Heart Tidbits -
The Pioneers snapped a six-game losing streak to the Colonials ... RMU leads the all-time series, 25-11 (.694), but suffered its worst defeat to Sacred Heart ... The Pioneers established season highs for a Robert Morris opponent in field goals (33) and field goal percentage (.589) ... The Colonials rebounded to shoot 64 percent (16-for-25) from the field in the second half, with Sacred Heart shooting the same, also by converting 16 of its 25 attempts from the floor ... SHU held a 34-23 advantage in rebounding, with the 23 caroms for Robert Morris a season low ... Cameron Parker dished out a game-high 11 assists, while E.J. Anosike notched a double-double for the Pioneers with 13 points and 11 rebounds ... Sophomore forward Charles Bain and sophomore guard Jon Williams each went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc for RMU.
 
The Fire Rises - Charles Bain continues to be a consistent producer for Robert Morris on the road, as the sophomore forward has reached double figures in scoring in four of RMU's last five road games. Bain paced the Colonials with 17 points and four rebounds @ Sacred Heart (2/28/19), and over the last five games is averaging 12.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 45.1 percent (23-for-51) from the field and 84.6 percent (11-for-13) at the free-throw line. Overall against NEC foes, Bain is shooting at a 47.1 percent (64-for-136) clip, which ranks 14th in the conference.
 
Open Range - Senior guard Josh Williams eclipsed 900 career points thanks to a game-high 22 points in a 67-62 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn (2/23/19) and enters Saturday's game @ Wagner with 907 career points. He scored 489 in two seasons with Akron (2015-17) before transferring to RMU and leads the Colonials this year with 418 points. Williams is just one three-pointer shy of becoming just the third student-athlete in program history to connect for at least 90 triples in a season.
 
Did You Know? In nine seasons under head coach Andrew Toole, Robert Morris has compiled a record of 98-39 (.715) when scoring at least 70 points in a game. Included in that record is a mark of 37-6 (.860) when eclipsing the 80-point plateau.
 
The Steel City - Robert Morris has paced the Northeast Conference in steals against league foes in nine of the last 11 years, including each of the last three seasons. The Colonials currently lead the league in thefts in 2018-19 at 7.29 per contest thanks to 124 steals in 17 games. Individually, senior guard Matty McConnell is tied for seventh in the circuit with 24 steals in 17 games, an average of 1.41 per contest.
