Philadelphia, Pa. – The Robert Morris University men's lacrosse concluded a three-game road swing to begin the 2020 season with a 24-12 loss at Drexel this afternoon from Vidas Field.

Robert Morris (1-2, 0-0 NEC) again was hampered by a slow start, falling behind Drexel (1-2, 0-0 CAA) by a halftime score of 14-5. The Colonials turned the ball over five fewer times than the Dragons, but were outshot by the hosts, 57-46, and only won 14-40 draws at the X.

Ryan Smith paced RMU with four points on a goal and three assists. Brandon Sulhoff netted his first collegiate hat trick, while Jake Boudreau and Elliot Holden added two tallies a piece. Corson Kealey collected a goal and an assist.

Shaun Vines shared the team lead in caused turnovers with two, and added four groundballs and a third period tally. Ben Savick and Liam Rosenthal both saw time in the cage, combining for 12 saves between the two of them.

Smith entered today's contest leading the nation in goals per game (5.00) and ranking fifth in points per game (6.50). He was the first Colonial since Patrick Smith in 2010 to record double-digit points through two games.
