PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Twenty-two members of the
Robert Morris University women's hockey team were named to the All-Academic Team by College Hockey America, it was announced Tuesday. Their 22 honorees were the most of any CHA school for the 2019-20 academic year, followed by Mercyhurst with 21 and Syracuse with 20.
To qualify for the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must post a 3.0 GPA or better in the semesters in which she was competing. This season, all eligible members of the Colonials qualified for the honor.
RMU also led CHA with four Student-Athlete of the Year winners, including three-time winner
Lexi Templeman, two-time winners
Courtney Kollman and
Emilie Harley, and freshman and first-time winner
Joelle Fiala, all of whom earned a 4.0 GPA in both fall and spring semesters.
The Colonials wrapped up the 2020 campaign back in March with their fourth consecutive trip to the CHA Championship game in Buffalo.
