PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Robert Morris University women's hockey team took down Adrian College 7-0 in an exhibition game Monday afternoon at Clearview Arena.
Michaela Boyle, Marah Wagner, and Wasyn Rice each scored twice while the goaltending trio of Raygan Kirk, Arielle DeSmet, and Molly Singewald combined for a shutout.
The Colonials wasted no time getting on the score sheet against the Bulldogs, going up 1-0 just 1:51 into the first when Marah Wagner picked off a pass in the neutral zone before walking in and firing a wrist shot high glove side.
Wasyn Rice and Michaela Boyle would add goals of their own before the period was out as RMU headed to the locker rooms up 3-0.
Robert Morris doubled their lead in the second as Boyle, Rice, and Wagner each scored again in the middle frame, pushing the deficit to 6-0 after 40 minutes of play.
Curlett tacked on a seventh in the opening minutes of the third to ice the game away for the Colonials.
