LAST TIME OUT
The Colonials picked up a big three points last weekend with a 2-1 win over Wright State in Dayton on October 2.
After Ethan Romito scored his first of the season to put RMU up 1-0, Gal Ben Dayan's PK goal in the 58' gave the Colonials some much-needed breathing room as they held on for the 2-1 victory.
STATS TO KNOW
RMU has seen six different Colonials find the back of the net this season, with Ben Dayan the only player with multiple goals so far at two.
Preston Rushmore became the fifth Colonial to score his first career collegiate goal earlier this season, joining Tom Akinola, Bryan Akongo, Ben Dayan and Owen Jowett who have all found the back of the net for the first time this year.
At 2-3 in Horizon League play, the Colonials are currently tied for fifth place in the league table with six total points. At a perfect 5-0, Cleveland State sits atop the HL table with fifteen points, while Milwaukee is currently second with ten points. UIC, Oakland, and Wright State round out the rest of the top five.
TEAM LEADERS
RMU has scored seven goals from six different scorers this year, with Ben Dayan leading the pack with two. Bryan Akongo and Connor Hain are tied for the team lead in assists with two helpers apiece.
Just two Colonials have started all ten games so far for RMU: Akongo and Kelvin Ramirez.
Grant Glorioso earned his first win of the season in goal for RMU against the Raiders, bringing his overall record to 1-1. He joins Mike Zolnierczyk who also has a win in goal this season.
SCOUTING THE FLAMES
Pre-season picks to finish third overall in the HL standings, the Flames are right where many expected them to be at this point in the season at third overall with nine points.
UIC most-recently dropped a 4-0 decision to non-conference foe Creighton last Saturday, however they're unbeaten in HL play after outscoring IUPUI, Oakland and Northern Kentucky by a combined score of 6-1.
Gr. Forward Younes Dayekh leads them offensively with four goals and nine points.
