- The RMU men's basketball team continues action in the Kentucky Classic Monday against Ohio with a 7:00 p.m. tip at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio. The Colonials will conclude the tournament Friday, Nov. 19, by hosting Mount St. Mary's in their 2021-22 home opener at the UPMC Events Center.

Michael Green III led the Colonials with 12 points against the Wildcats, shooting 5-for-11 from the field, including 2-of-5 from beyond the arc, and added four assists and three steals.

Kahliel Spear contributed 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocks @ Kentucky (11/12). Spear owns four blocks through two games of the 2021-22 campaign and 27 rejections in 20 contests as a member of the Colonials, an average of 1.35 per game.

Rasheem Dunn tied Cheeks for team-high honors in scoring with 12 points @ UCF (11/10/21). He also added five rebounds and three assists.

Kahliel Spear chipped in 10 points, five caroms, three assists and a pair of blocks in the season opener against the Knights. He shot 3-for-7 from the floor and was true on each of his four attempts at the charity stripe.

- The trio of Cheeks, Dunn and Spear have combined to shoot 90.9 percent (20-for-22) from the free-throw line through the first two games of the 2021-22 season. Dunn has converted 10 of his 12 attempts.

Kahliel Spear, a transfer from Bucknell, averaged 9.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in 18 games for RMU last year, including 10 starts. He ranked fourth in the Horizon League with an average of 1.28 blocks per game, recording 23 rejections on the season.

The All-Time Series (Ohio) - Monday's meeting between the Colonials and Bobcats is the 11th between the two programs, with RMU holding a 6-4 (.600) advantage in the all-time series. The Colonials have won four consecutive games over the Bobcats, including an 84-76 triumph in the last meeting at the Charles L. Sewall Center (12/1/12). In that contest former RMU guard Karvel Anderson (2013-15) put forth arguably the greatest offensive game in program history. He finished with a game-high 28 points, shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the field, including 8-for-8 from beyond the arc.

Kentucky Notes - RMU slipped to 1-2 (.333) in the all-time series against Kentucky and has dropped both of its games at Rupp Arena ... The Wildcats shot 57.1 percent (40-for-70) from the field and owned a 43-24 advantage on the glass ... The Colonials converted 37.7 percent (23-for-61) of their shots from the floor ... Block Party - Forward
Kahliel Spear has picked up right where he left off from last year in regard to his ability to protect the rim. Spear has posted two blocks in each of RMU's first two games of the 2021-22 campaign and in 20 career games for the Colonials has recorded 27 blocks, an average of 1.35 per game. Overall in four seasons at the NCAA Division I level, Spear owns 57 blocks in 66 contests (0.86 per game). Nine times in an RMU uniform Spear has finished with at least two rejections in a game.

Crocodile Dundee - Fifth-year guard
Rasheem Dunn, a transfer from St. John's who began his career at St. Francis Brooklyn, eclipsed 500 career rebounds in RMU's season opener @ UCF (11/10/21). He owns 502 to his credit over his career at the NCAA Division I level to go along with 1,426 career points. Dunn, who has averaged 9.5 points through two games of the 2021-22 season for the Colonials and also owns a team-high five assists, owns half of RMU's trips to the free-throw line this season. He's visited the charity stripe 12 times, knocking down 10 (83.3%).
