The All-Time Series (Milwaukee) – The Colonials and Panthers tip on the hardwood for the fourth time Saturday, with Milwaukee owning a 2-1 (.667) edge in the all-time series. In the first meeting between the two programs as Horizon League foes last season at the UPMC Events Center, RMU earned a 67-64 triumph. Forward
Kahliel Spear converted a layup with 23 seconds to go that gave the Colonials a 65-61 advantage and helped lift the Colonials to the win.

Green Bay Notes – Thursday's game marked the first meeting between the two programs ... The Phoenix shot 53.8 percent (14-for-26) from the field in the second half ... Over the last three games, opponents have converted 61.8 percent (47-for-76) of its attempts from the field after halftime ... Green Bay held a 31-28 edge in rebounding ... RMU shot a season-high 53.8 percent (7-for-13) from beyond the arc, with five different Colonials knocking down at least one triple ... The Phoenix recorded 20 assists on their 28 field goals.

Downtown – Sophomore guard
Kam Farris has returned to the rotation for the Colonials after missing the first four games of the 2021-22 season due to injury and has provided a spark offensively, averaging 8.0 points in the last two games while shooting 60 percent (6-for-10) from the field, including 66.7 percent (4-for-6) from beyond the arc. Farris is a career 47.6 percent (39-for-82) shooter from downtown in his two seasons as a member of the Colonials and has hit at least one three-pointer in 17 of his 19 games in an RMU uniform.

Steady – Despite having his double-figure scoring streak snapped at seven by finishing with five points in RMU's Horizon League opener @ Green Bay (12/2/21), senior forward
Kahliel Spear has been a valuable inside presence for the Colonials early on during the 2021-22 season. Spear leads the Colonials in scoring at 12.7 points per game and established a career high with four steals against the Phoenix while also grabbing five rebounds. Spear also tied a career high with 22 points @ Ohio (11/15/21) and in 24 career games at RMU owns 29 blocks, an average of 1.21 per game.

Three's Company – Also developing into a threat from beyond the arc for RMU in 2021-22 has been junior forward
Justin Winston, who enters Saturday's game @ Milwaukee coming off a season-high 16 points in RMU's Horizon League opener @ Green Bay (12/2/21). Winston shot 6-for-10 from the floor, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, and owns a team-high eight three-pointers this season. Winston has shot 38.1 percent (8-for-21) from beyond the arc through seven games and overall this season is converting 47.8 percent (22-for-46) of his shots from the floor.

Toe The Line – Fifth-year guard

Kahliel Spear have each done a solid job getting to the free-throw line for RMU this season, as the duo enter Saturday's game @ Milwaukee averaging 9.3 attempts at the stripe per contest. Dunn has converted 76.3 percent (29-for-38) of his opportunities, which ranks 11th in the Horizon League, while Spear has been successful on 74.1 percent (20-for-27) of his chances, which ranks 13th in the circuit. As a team, RMU ranks seventh in the Horizon League at 72.9 percent (70-for-96).

Call To The Hall – Former forward Lucky Jones (2011-15) will be enshrined in the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at a dinner in the conference center of the UPMC Events Center. Jones, a native of Newark, N.J., is one of six former student-athletes that make up the Class of 2021, the
30th class to be inducted into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame. One of the most successful student-athletes in program history, Jones helped lead the Colonials to a postseason tournament in each of his four years at RMU. He helped lead the Colonials to a pair of wins in the 2012 CollegeInisder.com Postseason Tournament (CIT), victories over Kentucky (2013) and St. John's (2014) in the NIT and a triumph over North Florida in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Jones concluded his career as the program's all-time leading rebounder with 846 career boards while finishing with 1,642 points.
