Moon Township, Pa. – A total of 25 student-athletes from the RMU rowing team were named to the 2021 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rowing All-Academic Team, it was announced Thursday.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale. Sacred Heart led the way with 37 student-athletes named to the 2021 MAAC Rowing All-Academic Team, followed by Jacksonville (26), the Colonials, Marist (24) and Fairfield (23).
Seven seniors, 10 juniors, seven sophomores and a graduate student make up the 2021 MAAC Rowing All-Academic Team for RMU.
Highlighting the
senior class for the Colonials are
Madelyn Green and
Mia Krolczyk, as each posted a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.99. Green earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, while Krolczyk graduated with a Bachelor of Science in engineering.

Senior
Nicole Kristof owned a double major, graduating with a BSBA in marketing and sport management while maintaining a GPA of 3.98. Also as part of the senior class,
Rachel Gress (3.93) and
Molly McGuire (3.87) each earned a Bachelor of Science in biology,
Alison Ishman graduated with a nursing degree with a 3.74 GPA and
Emma McIntosh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a 3.22 GPA.

Led by first-year head coach
Carol Schoenecker, the Colonials compete in the 2021 MAAC Championships Sunday, May 16, in Pennsauken Township, N.J., at Cooper River Park. Heats begin at 9:20 a.m., with finals slated to start at 12:30 p.m., and both sessions can be seen live on ESPN3.
