Moon Township, Pa. – Non-conference home games with Akron and Morehead State, a home-and-home set with St. Bonaventure and a full slate of Horizon League games highlight the 2021-22 RMU women's basketball schedule.
The Colonials will open the 2021-22 campaign Tuesday, Nov. 9, against the Bonnies in Olean, N.Y., at the Reilly Center. St. Bonaventure will return the favor six-and-a-half weeks later, visiting the UPMC Events Center Saturday, Dec. 18. Also on the non-conference home slate for RMU is Akron (11/13), Morehead State (11/24) and Waynesburg (12/20).
"Our goal is to always put together a challenging non-conference schedule," said RMU Head Coach
Charlie Buscaglia. "If you look at the conferences we are set to battle this season, you will notice programs that are representing top mid-major leagues as well as the Power 5. After not having an opportunity to play a non-conference schedule last season, it has truly been a moment of teaching the importance of being grateful for our opportunities to compete."
Also on the non-conference slate for RMU in 2021-22 are road games @ Canisius (11/27) and Miami (12/12). The Colonials open their Horizon League schedule just two weeks into the season, traveling to Detroit Mercy Thursday, Dec. 18, before taking on Oakland Saturday, Dec. 20. RMU opens its home league slate with a two-game stand against Green Bay (12/2) and Milwaukee (12/4).
Season tickets for the
2021-22 season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the RMU Ticket Office at (412) 397-4949. Courtside season tickets are $100 with a minimum donation to the RMU Athletics general fund, while general admission season tickets are $80 with a minimum donation to the RMU Athletics general fund.
