Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU football team announced Tuesday a home-and-home series with Towson for the 2025 and 2026 seasons as part of its non-conference schedule.
The Colonials will travel to take on the Tigers at Johnny Unitas® Stadium in Towson, Md., Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, before hosting Towson at Joe Walton Stadium Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.

Bernard Clark, Jr., said. "It's a chance to go and compete with a perennial contender in the Colonial Athletic Association as well as help build more regional rivalries."
The meeting in 2025 will mark the first-ever matchup between RMU and Towson. The Colonials have faced only one CAA opponent in school history, having traveled to James Madison in 2018. Also members of the CAA are Albany and Stony Brook, which RMU faced when both were members of the Northeast Conference (NEC).
"We're excited to be able to play another perennially strong football program in Robert Morris," Towson head coach Rob Ambrose said. "These games help shine a light on the quality of football in our region."
Led by Clark, who is in his fourth season in 2021, RMU opened the home portion of its fall slate with a 22-16 triumph over Howard (9/25/21) at Joe Walton Stadium. Redshirt senior quarterback
George Martin threw two touchdown passes in the win and rushed for another as the Colonials stretched their winning streak at home to five.

D'Andre Hicks caught both of the touchdown passes from Martin, the second of which came on a shovel pass, with Hicks scampering 17 yards into the end zone with 3:01 remaining to help lift RMU to the victory. He finished with four receptions for 68 yards and in four career games as student-athlete for the Colonials owns 23 receptions for 250 yards and four touchdowns.
RMU opens its 2021 Big South schedule Saturday, Oct. 2, with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against North Carolina A&T at Truist Stadium in Greensboro, N.C.
