Indianapolis, Ind.- In their last regular season game on the road, the Robert Morris University women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 decision at IUPUI on Sunday afternoon in Horizon League action.
With the loss, the Colonials fall to 7-5-4 overall and 1-5-2 in conference play. Meanwhile, the Jaguars improve to 8-2-6 overall this season with a 4-2-3 mark in league action.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
In the opening six minutes, IUPUI sprayed the net with shots as it recorded six-straight, two of them coming on goal. Robert Morris responded with five shots of its own in a five-minute span, from five different players. Over the next 11 minutes, both teams combined for seven shots and two corner kicks as it went to the half, 0-0.
In the second half, the Jaguars continued to fire shots at the net as it scored three-consecutive goals. In the 53rd minute, IUPUI took a 1-0 lead when Sam Slimak took a pass from Maya Lacognato and beat the keeper to the back of the net.
