Can You Dig It?

- RMU Volleyball begins a three-game road trip against the IUPUI Jaguars (9-14 / 3-8 #HLVB), Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons (7-15 / 3-8 #HLVB), and the Oakland Golden Grizzlies (9-15 / 5-7 #HLVB) in Horizon League play.

- The Colonials look to earn their second Horizon League victory this season. They won their first against Purdue Fort Wayne (9/30) at the UPMC Events Center.

- Danny Doherty is in his first full season leading the Colonials after being named head coach on Dec. 31, 2021. He served as interim head coach for the final four matches of the 2021 campaign.

- Under Coach Doherty, the team has proven to win games when going to five sets. In four games this season going to five sets, the Colonials are 3-1 while outscoring opponents 54-45. The team is also 4-6 in four set matches while outscoring opponents 323-306.

- As a team entering this weekend, RMU owns 990 kills in 90 sets, averaging 11.00 kills per set. They're 10 kills away from 1,000 on the year.

- Upon completion of their three-game road trip, RMU will head back home to play Youngstown State (11/4), Wright State (11/11), and Northern Kentucky (11/12) to finish out the regular season.

The All-Time Series (IUPUI) – In their teams' history, RMU is 4-4 against the Jaguars. Senior libero Allena Carmody has played four matches against IUPUI. She's posted 62 digs in those games, including a 30-dig performance (10/1/22) which is the second highest number of digs in a four-set tilt in the Horizon League this season. Senior outside hitter Alyssa Hudak owns consistent stats against the Jaguars in her career with 25 kills in four games. Junior outside hitter Annie Monaco owns two double-double performances against the Jaguars. She's totaled 51 kills, 32 digs and seven service aces in this series. Her single game high in kills is 17 against IUPUI (10/1/22). Sophomore setter Ashleigh Wallin put together 58 assists and four service aces in two matches. Freshman setter Kaitlyn Brown produced 38 assists and 11 digs the last time these two teams played on (10/1/22).
 
The All-Time Series (PFW) – Since September of 2006, RMU is 1-7 all-time against Purdue Fort Wayne. Their one win against them came earlier this year, winning 3-2 on (9/30/22). Allena Carmody on defense owns 46 digs in five games against the Mastodons. Dating back to September of 2018, Alyssa Hudak has scored 56 kills in six matches. In her three matches against PFW, Annie Monaco owns a double-double and in total, 29 kills and 27 digs. Junior outside hitter Abby Ryan has played in five matches against the Mastodons, producing 43 kills. Ashleigh Wallin carries 91 assists, 23 digs and four service aces against Purdue coming into this weekend's match. On (9/30/22), freshman Kaitlyn Brown posted 21 assists, 10 digs and two service aces in the Colonials win against the Mastodons. Sophomore Page Gross single game high in kills is six, which was done against PFW on (9/30/22).
 
Milestone Watch – Senior Allena Carmody is looking to become the second student-athlete for the Colonials to join the RMU 1,000-Dig Club in as many years. Carmody is at 999 digs entering this weekend, just making her one away. She would become the 14^th RMU student-athlete in program history with 1,000 digs. With 351 digs this year, she's produced the most in one season during her career. The libero has played in all 90 sets for RMU this season. Sophomore setter Ashleigh Wallin owns 977 career assists. This weekend she has a chance to reach 1,000. Annie Monaco produced 176 kills last season in 81 sets. She sits at 175 kills this season in 78 sets.
 
Upon the Horizon – Allena Carmody ranks sixth in digs per set (3.90) in the Horizon League. Ashleigh Wallin is seventh in assists per set (5.17). Annie Monaco holds the second highest number of aces in a game with six vs. Oakland (9/20/22). Abby Ryan owns the eighth best number of digs in a four-set match as she added 24 digs vs. North Alabama on (9/9/22). Ally Christman is on the Horizon League top 10 list in two different categories, the sophomore produced five service aces in a three-set match vs. Milwaukee (10/21/22) which is second best. Playing vs. NC Central (9/16/22) she earned 19 kills in a three-set match residing at third place in the conference for kills in a three-set match. Page Gross is currently tied second in blocks for a four-set match with seven vs. The Citadel (9/17/22).
 
Three of a Kind Aces – Ashleigh Wallin and Annie Monaco rank seventh in the Horizon League in aces per set (.35). Ally Christman ranks eighth at (.34) aces per set. Overall, RMU is fourth in service aces per set in the Horizon League with an average of (1.60).
