Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU Department of Athletics celebrates the return of college basketball with MADNESS, presented by
Mountain Dew, Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7:00 p.m. at the UPMC Events Center.
Doors open to the public at 6:30 p.m., giving RMU fans the opportunity to meet both the men's and women's basketball teams for the first time for the 2022-23 season. During MADNESS, the Colonials will compete in a series of skill challenges, including a three-point shootout, free-throw shooting and a dunk competition among student-athletes from the men's program. MADNESS also features the RMU cheerleaders and dance team, performances from DJ Dan Fletcher and the RMU Band and free shirts for RMU students.
Two students will have a chance to team up with a student-athlete from the men's team and women's team to take part in the
Chick-fil-A Robinson Shootout, which includes a layup, free throw, three-point and half court shot, for an opportunity to win free Chick-fil-A for a year.

Andrew Toole picked up career victory No. 200 last season in the first round of the 2022 Horizon League Tournament thanks to a victory at Youngstown State, and the Colonials return three starters from last year's squad.

North Carolina A&T at Joe Walton Stadium at Noon. Wear pink as the RMU Department of Athletics joins the RMU Zeta Tau Alpha sorority to raise awareness for and support breast cancer research. RMU pink rally towels, presented by
Sewickley Savings Bank, will be given out to the first 1,000 fans.
