Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris women's lacrosse team announced its 2023 schedule Monday, which includes nine home games at Joe Walton Stadium as well as nine non-conference contests.

The Colonials open its 2023 campaign and third season in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) on Friday, Feb. 4, at Ohio State before traveling to Cincinnati on Friday, Feb. 17. RMU will host Bucknell on Saturday, Feb. 25, for their home opener at Joe Walton Stadium before welcoming the Retrievers of UMBC on Saturday, Match 4, at 1:00 p.m.

RMU continues its non-conference schedule with back-to-back road games, traveling to Gardner Webb on Wednesday, March 8, before heading to Buffalo, N.Y. to take on Canisius on Tuesday, March 14. The Colonials wrap up the month of March with a pair of home contests, hosting Queens (March 18) and UC Davis (March 26) for two noon faceoffs at the Joe.

The month of April begins conference play for the Colonials as they will have eight MAC contests. RMU travels to Youngstown State (April 1) before hosting Kent State (April 5) for their first home league game. The Colonials will travel to Detroit Mercy on Saturday, April 8, before hosting the Penguins of YSU on Wednesday, April 12. RMU travels to Kent, Ohio for a matchup with the Flashers (April 15) before hosting the University of Notre Dame on Sunday, April 16, for a non-conference match at Joe Walton Stadium.

Eastern Michigan comes to Moon Township on Wednesday, April 19, before RMU travels to Akron on Wednesday, April 26. The Colonials wrap up the regular-season by welcoming Central Michigan on Saturday, April 29, for a noon faceoff. The 2023 MAC Championships are slated for Thursday, May 4, and Saturday, May 6, at the site of the regular-season champion.

RMU posted a 9-9 overall record, including an 8-2 mark in conference action in its second season in the MAC during 2022. Under head coach Katrina Silva, who enters her sixth season at the helm, the Colonials are coming off their second straight MAC Championship game appearance, capturing the title during the 2021 campaign.
