Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University men's lacrosse team opens the 2022 home slate on Saturday, February 12 when they welcome the Bucknell Bison to Joe Walton Stadium. The Colonials are coming off a difficult 21-12 defeat at the hands of No. 3 Duke in their season opener last Friday. Saturday's contest marks the fourth meeting between Bucknell and Robert Morris.

Tomorrow's meeting between the Colonials and the Bison marks only fourth game between the two squads and only the second time the two have played one another since 2012.
  
In 2021, RMU got the best of Bucknell with an 8-7 victory in Lewisburg. Despite a strong comeback effort by the Bison in the final five minutes of play, they were unable to counteract Brandon Sulhoff's goal.

This will be the first time in over a decade since Bucknell has last been at Joe Walton Stadium. In the last meeting in Moon Township, RMU walked away with a 7-5 victory with NLL stars and Colonial alum Kiel Matisz and Kyle Buchanan each contributing a goal.
 
Scouting the Bison
Bucknell head coach Frank Fedorjaka enters his 16th season at the helm of the Bison's lacrosse program. The 2022 season got off to a 1-0 start after Bucknell defeated Mercer in Macon, Ga., on February 5.
 
Bucknell senior captain Harry Wellfod earned a spot on the Preseason All-Patriot League team after scoring 23 points in 12 career starts leading up to the 2022 season. The senior added two goals and two assists to his total after playing Mercer.
 
The Bison were selected to finish 7th in the Patriot League.

Robert Morris is off to a 0-1 start after falling 21-12 at #3 Duke. In the loss, Taggart Clarke scored a career-high four goals and Corson Kealey tallied his 15th career hat trick.

Happy to Be Home
Saturday's contest marks the home opener for men's lacrosse for the 2022 season. Additionally, it will mark the first home game for head coach Craig McDonald and his staff.
RMU played only two games at home last season, posting a 2-0 home record, and have not played a regular season match on home turf since April 10, 2021. The Colonials have not fallen at home since March 23, 2019, when they lost 14-11 against Mount St. Mary's.
 
Welcome Back
Graduate students Jake Boudreau and Corson Kealey were both selected in last September's 2021 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft. Boudreau was selected seventh overall to the Saskatchewan Rush, making him RMU's sixth first-round selection in five years, while Kealey was selected by the Rochester Knighthawks in the second-round. However, both Boudreau and Kealey both chose to return to Robert Morris to fulfill their final year of eligibility.

ASUN
2022 will serve as the inaugural year for the Colonials in the ASUN Conference. RMU previously competed in the NEC, where they saw success in the form of three conference championships and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. After playing unattached in 2021, the Colonials joined the ASUN. RMU was chosen to finish third in the preseason polls with Corson Kealey being named the 2022 ASUN Preseason Player of the Year, Jake Boudreau being selected as the 2022 ASUN Preseason Midfielder of the Year, and both earning a spot on the 2022 ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team, along with senior Owen Down on defense.

Robert Morris travels to Long Island on February 19th to face off against the Stony Brook Seawolves. Game time is set for noon at Lavalle Stadium.
