Let's Review
The Robert Morris men's lacrosse team returned home in dramatic fashion on Wednesday afternoon with a solid 23-6 win over the Canisius Golden Griffins at Joe Walton Stadium. The midweek win moves the Colonials to 2-3 on the year and extends their win streak to two games.

The Colonials took no time to take control of the game, going on a 7-0 run to open the contest. RMU went on to tally 17 goals with three players registering hat tricks by the end of the first half. This 17-goal tally serves as the most goals scored by halftime for Bobby Mo since April 10, 2014, when the Colonials took down Sacred Heart 27-11.
13 different players went on to score for the Colonials and 17 different players had points in the win.
Three separate RMU players scored hat tricks by halftime. Junior Ben Starkey scored his first career hat trick this afternoon and now has goals in three of his last three games. Taggart Clark and Corson Kealey each put up four goals for the Colonials. Clark now has hat tricks in four of his last five games and Kealey has surpassed the 100-goal mark for his NCAA career.

13 different players scored for the Colonials today. In addition to Starkey, Clark and Kealey, Dan Taddeo and Alex Funk each scored two goals. While Jake Boudreau, Evan Hellmich, Brian Simmons, Steven Dellemonache, Torin Neal, Will Johansen and Nick Pelletier each put one in the back of the net.

Freshman goalkeeper Nate Randall had a standout performance against the Griffs, making 11 saves and allowing only four goals in nearly 50 minutes of play.

Additionally, James Leary etched his name into program history by registering seven CTOs against Canisius. Now, Leary is tied for the most CTOs in a single game in program history.

Home, Sweet Home
Friday's matchup with High Point marks the second game of a four-game home set for the Colonials, with games against Marquette and Drexel still in the queue for RMU. The last time RMU hosted four-consecutive home games was in 2013 when they welcomed Bellarmine, UMBC, Detroit Mercy and Drexel to Joe Walton Stadium.

Welcome Back
Graduate students Jake Boudreau and Corson Kealey were both selected in last September's 2021 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft. Boudreau was selected seventh overall to the Saskatchewan Rush, making him RMU's sixth first-round selection in five years, while Kealey was selected by the Rochester Knighthawks in the second-round. However, both Boudreau and Kealey both chose to return to Robert Morris to fulfill their final year of eligibility.

ASUN

2022 will serve as the inaugural year for the Colonials in the ASUN Conference. RMU previously competed in the NEC, where they saw success in the form of three conference championships and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. After playing unattached in 2021, the Colonials joined the ASUN. RMU was chosen to finish third in the preseason polls with Corson Kealey being named the 2022 ASUN Preseason Player of the Year, Jake Boudreau being selected as the 2022 ASUN Preseason Midfielder of the Year, and both earning a spot on the 2022 ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team, along with senior Owen Down on defense.

Next Up
Robert Morris will return to Moon Township on March 19th for a weekend showdown against Marquette. Game time is set for noon at Joe Walton Stadium.
