Jake Boudreau channeled his talents on the defensive end, managing to gather a team-leading five ground balls. Defensemen Evan Hellmich and James Chirstoforatos managed to be menaces to the Stony Brook defense, causing three and two caused turnovers, respectively and each accumulated two ground balls.

Weekly Awards
Prior to the bye week, RMU swept the ASUN Weekly Awards for the first time in history. Corson Kealey was named Player of the Week after scoring six goals on six shots in the Colonials 18-14 loss against Stony Brook. The graduate student, who chose to return to RMU after being selected by the Albany Firewolves in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) draft, has scored 10 goals on 23 shots this season.
Evan Hellmich has cause trouble for three of the country's top offenses this season. Against Stony Brook, the senior caused three turnovers, bringing his total to seven on the year and earning him the Defensive Player of the Week title from the ASUN. While leading the team in caused turnovers, the Pickerington, Ohio native also ranks second on his team in ground balls with eight on the year.

Taggart Clark
In three seasons with the Colonials, Taggart Clark has scored eight goals. In the first three games of the 2022 season, Clark has tallied a team-leading 13 goals, producing three straight hat tricks. His five-goals against Bucknell marks a new career-high for the senior.

Welcome Back

Graduate students Jake Boudreau and Corson Kealey were both selected in last September's 2021 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft. Boudreau was selected seventh overall to the Saskatchewan Rush, making him RMU's sixth first-round selection in five years, while Kealey was selected by the Rochester Knighthawks in the second-round. However, both Boudreau and Kealey both chose to return to Robert Morris to fulfill their final year of eligibility.

ASUN
2022 will serve as the inaugural year for the Colonials in the ASUN Conference. RMU previously competed in the NEC, where they saw success in the form of three conference championships and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. After playing unattached in 2021, the Colonials joined the ASUN. RMU was chosen to finish third in the preseason polls with Corson Kealey being named the 2022 ASUN Preseason Player of the Year, Jake Boudreau being selected as the 2022 ASUN Preseason Midfielder of the Year, and both earning a spot on the 2022 ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team, along with senior Owen Down on defense.
