Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU track & field team sent a pair of student-athletes to Meadville, Pa., Thursday to compete in the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational on the campus of Allegheny College.

Yessie Valencia claimed another individual championship in the discus, unleashing a toss of 47.05 meters (154'4"). She posted the mark on her second throw of the competition. Sidney Rambo of Mount Union finished second at 42.79 meters (140'5"), while Alexia Page-Boyd of Chatham earned bronze at 39.21 (128'8").

Tara Gologram also competed for the Colonials Thursday, winning the individual crown in the long jump thanks to a leap of 5.69 meters (18'8"). Gologram fouled on her first attempt before posting the top mark of the event at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invite on her second chance, outlasting Stephanie Simon of Youngstown State, who earned silver at 5.66 meters (18'7"). Aurielle Brunner of Chatham finished third at 5.40 meters (17'8.75"), while Julia Schworm of Allegheny finished fourth at 4.83 meters (15'10.25").
