The All-Time Series (North Alabama) –
Friday's opener of the Morehead State Comfort Inn-vitational against North Alabama marks the first meeting between the two programs in program history. The Lions are the only team on the schedule that the Colonials are facing for the first time in 2022.

The All-Time Series (Morehead State) – While RMU has never faced North Alabama, the Colonials and Eagles have met just once prior to Friday's match. During the 2016 campaign, Morehead State earned a 3-1 win over RMU in Charleston, S.C., as part of the Bulldog Battle on the campus of The Citadel. In that match, outside hitters Taylor Lord (2015-18) and Arden Fisher (2013-16) each notched double-doubles, with Lord posting 12 kills and 17 digs and Fisher finishing with 11 kills and 19 digs.

The All-Time Series (Quinnipiac) – It's been almost a decade since the Colonials and Bobcats have met on the volleyball court, but the two programs are no strangers. Former rivals in the Northeast Conference (NEC), Saturday's tilt marks the 21st meeting in all-time series that RMU leads, 18-2 (.900). The two teams last met during the 2012 season, when the Colonials earned a 3-0 win at the Charles L. Sewall Center (10/28/12). The trio of Lindsey Monger (2009-12), Becky Jay (2011-14) and Amanda Craig (2009-12) combined for 24 kills in the victory.

Dig Me Out – Senior Allena Carmody earned a spot on the Chick-fil-A Robinson Labor Day Classic All-Tournament Team last weekend by anchoring RMU's back line, racking up 54 digs across 13 sets, an average of 4.15 per set. Carmody enters action this weekend ranked ninth in the Horizon League in digs per set (3.42) and is looking to become the second student-athlete for the Colonials to join the RMU 1,000-Dig Club in as many years. Based on a four-set match, Carmody, who owns 730 career digs, would need to average 2.81 digs per set through the remaining 24 matches of the 22 regular season to become the 14th RMU student-athlete in program history with 1,000 career digs.

Double It Up – A total of four different Colonials registered a double-double during the 2022 Chick-fil-A Robinson Labor Day Classic, showing the balance of the RMU attack. In a 3-1 win over Canisius (9/2) at the UPMC Events Center, junior Annie Monaco (14 kills, 16 digs) and sophomore Ally Christman (12, 17) turned the trick, while the next day @ Duquesne (9/3) in a 3-1 triumph both junior Abby Ryan (17, 14) and sophomore Ashleigh Wallin (29 assists, 10 digs) eclipsed the double-double threshold. Monaco owns a pair of double-doubles this season and is RMU's active leader in the category with five on her career, while Ryan owns four to her credit.
