Opening Tip
- The Colonials (8-9) head back out on the road to face the Milwaukee Panthers (6-10) in Horizon League action. RMU will then stay in Wisconsin and play at Green Bay (14-3) on Sunday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m.
- Last time out, the Colonials defeated the defending Horizon League champs, IUPUI, 69-63.
- Against the Jaguars, Phoenix Gedeon recorded her seventh double-double of the season posting 17 points and 10 rebounds. Gedeon also posted a career best four assists and seven free-throws made. She had the same stat line on points and rebounds at YSU (1/12).
- Sophomore Rebecca Dwomoh scored a career high 17 points and five three-point field goals in their win against the Jaguars.
- Two games ago, Louella Allana and Mackenzie Amalia both grabbed down a career best six rebounds at YSU (1/12). Allana made three shots from behind the arc, pacing for nine points vs. IUPUI (1/14).
- Across Division 1 women's basketball, the Colonials are ranked fourth in three-point defense (.232). The team is 28th in turnover margin (5.06). RMU is ranked first in the Horizon League in both of these categories.

The All-Time Series (Milwaukee) – For the second game in a row, head coach
Charlie Buscaglia will look to win their first game in program history against their current opponent. The Colonials did so vs. IUPUI (1/14), and will look to do so against Milwaukee since entering the Horizon League. All-time, RMU is 0-4 against the Panthers and has played three of the four games on the road.

Scouting the Panthers – Milwaukee (6-10, 4-4 #HLWBB), is currently seventh in the Horizon League standings. The opposition started their season with a difficult non-conference schedule, losing to Wisconsin, Marquette, UIC, Nevada, Eastern Ill., and Minnesota. The Panthers did beat Loyola Chicago and Boise State. In their past four games in Horizon League action, the Panthers have lost to Northern Kentucky, Cleveland State and Purdue Fort Wayne. MKE did beat Wright State earlier this month. Under the leadership of Kyle Rechlicz in her 11
th season as the bench boss, the Panthers have started eight different players this season. Milwaukee features four players averaging 8.7 to 10.3 points per game. Kendall Nead leads their team in points per game (10.3). Freshman guard Kamy Peppler owns the most assists on the team with 50. And, senior forward Megan Walstad is averaging the most rebounds per game (7.1). She's also the best shooter on the team from the charity stripe, going 25-for-28 (.893). As a team, Milwaukee is shooting (.382) from the field, and (.250) from behind the arc. The Panthers are scoring 56.7 points per night and collected 37.2 boards on average.

Sophomore forward
Phoenix Gedeon is one of two players in the Horizon League that is in the top eight in scoring, rebounding, free throw percentage and double-doubles. Gedeon is ranked seventh in scoring at 13.5 points per game, fourth in rebounding (8.3) and eighth in free throw percentage shooting 62-for-88 (.705). Gedeon has recorded double-doubles this season against Waynesburg (11/12), at Wright State (12/2), vs. St. Bonaventure (12/16), Purdue Fort Wayne (12/29), at Oakland (1/5), at Youngstown State (1/12) and vs. IUPUI (1/14). In the last seven games, Gedeon has produced five double-doubles, heating up in conference play.
