- Before that, the Colonials finished up with another tie with Wright State, on the road, 1-1.
- Currently, head coach Jonathan Potter and his squad are ranked eighth in the North Region, in a poll done by the United Soccer Coaches.

The All-Time Series (Oakland) – RMU will be looking for their first win against Oakland in program history tomorrow. Last season, the Colonials fell, 1-2 in regular season play. The two teams met in the quarterfinal round of the Horizon League playoffs.
Chase Gilley scored the opening goal, nine minutes into the match. After 90 minutes, the game was tied, 2-2 and went on to overtime. The Golden Grizzlies ended up edging out RMU on penalty kicks, 6-5 to advance to the semi final round of the tournament.

Scouting the Golden Grizzlies – Currently, Oakland ranks second in the Horizon League with a 4-2 record in conference play. Offensively, graduate forward Mikey Ketteman leads the team in points with seven goals and two assists, totaling 16 points. Freshman Donavan Phillips owns the most assists with six on the year. From Finland, Ville Ahola has logged the most minutes on the year with 1,146. He is one of three players on the roster that have started and played in all 14 games and has registered two assists. In goal, time has been split between three different goalkeepers. Out of Australia, Finn Jurak started half the games so far. He's made 27 saves, earned two clean sheets and three wins and owns a 1.61 G.A.A.

Across the Horizon League, RMU has been the most successful team on the attack, scoring a conference-high 22 goals in 2023. The Colonials are averaging 1.692 goals per game. On eight occasions, RMU has registered the opening goal which is tied for highest in the Horizon League. Junior

Anass Hadran in the 2023 campaign, boasts three goals and three assists, totaling nine points which is the most on RMU. Defender
