Story Links

Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University women's soccer program lost to IUPUI, 0-1. RMU is now 10-4-3 overall on the year and 4-4-1 in conference play. The Jaguars move up to 10-3-4 on the season and are 4-1-4 in Horizon League matches.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
The first eight minutes of the match didn't go in favor of the Colonials as the Jaguars scored their game-deciding goal off a couple ricochets from a corner kick that left the net open.

For the rest of the first half RMU tried to regroup as they were outshot 11-4 in the first frame of play.

Entering the second half, the Colonials started to fire off at the Jaguars goalkeeper and flipped the script with 10 shots in the second frame.

Both Emily Rocco and Malia Kearns had scoring chances with shots on goals in the second half but IUPUI goalkeeper Caillyn Junk stopped both attempts.

RMU seemed to have success off of the corner kicks that they had with all three of them coming in the second half and two of them almost leading to Colonial goals.

With time winding down, RMU almost tied the game up. What seemed to be the game-tying goal, ending up being called offsides by the referees in the final seconds of the match.

Therefore, IUPUI picked up the win Saturday afternoon.
