Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University men's hockey team fell in game two of the series, 0-3. RMU is now 2-3-2 overall and 1-2-2 in Atlantic Hockey contests. Bentley is now 3-3-0 in the 2023-24 campaign and 1-1-0 in the conference.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Across the first 20 minutes of play, Bentley registered 16 shots on goal while the Colonials took 13 shots. Goaltender
Chad Veltri stopped all 16 shots.
RMU received two power play opportunities in the first period, throwing five shots on net but were not able to cash in early.
Halfway through the second period, the visitors put in the first goal of the game. After a rebound-on goal, the luck bounced in favor of Bentley as the puck redirected off an RMU player into the net.
Three minutes later, the Falcons found another goal, taking a 2-0 lead.
Heading into the third period, both sides played on the power play on two occasions in the final frame. Both teams went 0-2 on their man-up opportunities.
Bentley scored at the 5:16 mark of the third period, and would earn their first conference win of the season, beating RMU on the road, 3-0.

Gavin Gulash battled for an even 50%-win percentage on faceoffs, winning five of 10. Defenseman
Luke Johnson led all RMU players with shots, registering five on the day. Senior
Matt Hutton earned his first appearance of the campaign. He posted one shot in the game.
Chad Veltri, tending the twine once again for the Colonials, made 36 stops against the Falcons. During the past three games, Veltri has made 133 saves. He finished with a .942 save percentage in today's game and has finished above that number in all his starts this season.

On deck, the Colonials will host Simon Fraser for an exhibition match on Saturday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. After that, RMU heads across the country to Alaska to take on the Anchorage for a two-game series on November 10 and 11.
