MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's basketball will go back on the road as they travel to Fairfax, Virginia and take on George Mason. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN+.

RMU LATELY
The Colonials (1-2) are coming off a 63-58 overtime loss at home against Akron on Wednesday afternoon. Simone Morris leads RMU with 13.5 points per game. Naomi Barnwell is RMU's leading rebounder with seven boards per game.
 
GEORGE MASON LATELY
The Patriots (4-0) are coming off a 60-52 victory vs Pitt on Nov. 15. GM opened the season November 6 with a 96-45 win over Bowie State then picked up wins over Marshall and William & Mary. All of the Patriots wins have come by at least five points in the early portion of the season.

COMMON OPPONENTS     
RMU and George Mason have one common opponent during the 2023 season and that is St. Bonaventure. The Colonials have already played the Bonnies and fell 70-52 while the Patriots will compete against the Bonnies on February 21, 2024.
 
RMU AND GEORGE MASON HISTORY
The Colonials and Patriots have played against each other one previous occasion and that was last season. RMU pulled off a 53-52 win against George Mason as it came down to Alejandra Mastral who scored the game-winning basket with six seconds left in the contest. Phoenix Gedeon led the Colonials with 20 points and nine boards in the big win.

Single Game High's vs St. Bonaventure (11/11) -  RMU fell short against the Bonnies but Morris had another solid outing as she led the team with 17 points. Barnwell finished with 14 points and a team leading two steals in the loss on Saturday.

Single Game High's vs Akron (11/15) - RMU came close but fell in overtime to Akron, but it didn't go without some good individual performances. Barnwell led the team with 14 points and nine boards while Allana had 11 points and four rebounds.

International Journey - The RMU Women's Basketball team features eight international players: Tuana Coskun (Istanbul, Turkiye) Louella Allana (Laval, Quebec), Eden Monka (Montreal, Quebec), Camila Bozan (Santiago, Chile), Rebecca Dwomoh (London, England), Paris Kirk (Kelowna, B.C.), Naomi Barnwell (Chanteloup-Les-Vignes, France) and Alejandra Mastral (Zaragoza, Spain).
 
UP NEXT
The Colonials return to the UPMC Events Center November 21 against Penn State Beaver in the first matchup between the two teams. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
 
RMU BASKETBALL SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets for RMU basketball for the 2023-24 season can be purchased by calling the RMU Ticket Office at (412) 397-4949. In addition to a full slate of Horizon League games, the Colonials will also host an MTE Tournament at the UPMC Events Center as part of their 2023-24 non-conference home schedule.
