MILWAUKEE - The RMU women's soccer team's season ended after a 5-0 loss to Milwaukee in the semifinals of the 2023 Horizon League Championship.
The top seed Panthers took a 1-0 lead into halftime before finding the back of the net four times in the 2
nd half.
Colonials keeper
Brenna Murray faced 20 MKE shots and turned away seven.
Malia Kearns,
Kaoru Hayashi and
Kristi Kania each had a ball on target for RMU, who finishes the year 12-5-3.
Milwaukee (11-2-5) advances to the Horizon League championship game and will play the winner of Northern Kentucky and IUPUI.
The 12 wins marks the most for RMU in its program history. Additionally, the Colonials' 39 goals broke the single-season record that stood since 1998.
