Opening Kick-Off

• The Robert Morris women's soccer team continues their #HLWSOC schedule, hosting Wright State on Sunday, September 24 at 1:00 p.m.
• Last time out, the Colonials fell to Milwaukee on the road, 0-3.
• Previously, RMU won at home, beating Green Bay, 5-1.
• On the day, sophomore Malia Kearns led the way scoring two goals. Kaoru Hayashi and Haleigh Finale both posted one goal and one assist each. Elisa Corvalan contributed two assists in the victory. Renae Mohrbacher pounded in her sixth goal of the season. And, Lidia Nduka earned her first helper of the year.
• Statistically, Lidia Nduka and Renae Mohrbacher lead the team in points with 15 each.
• Of all field players, defender Jillian Marvin has played the most minutes, 933, and has scored one goal.

The All-Time Series vs. Wright State – In program history, these two teams have met five times. The first two games came in the mid 90's. Both squads didn't play again until RMU entered the Horizon League. Recently, in October of 2021, the Colonials beat Wright State, 2-1. Kaoru Hayashi recorded a three-point game as she scored one goal and earned one assist. Last year, the score flipped and WSU won, 1-2. RMU will be looking for their second all-time win against the Raiders on Sunday.
 
Scouting the Raiders – Last year, Wright State finished 8-7-3 overall and 5-2-3 in Horizon League competitions. Their season concluded with a 1-2 loss against Youngstown State in the HL Quarterfinals. Statistically, Marcella Sizer led the team in points, recording six goals and three assists on the year. Sophomore Olivia Mace owned the most helpers, passing out six assists. In goal, Jessika Seward started and played in all 18 games. She earned three clean sheets and made 71 saves.
 
So far in 2023, Wright State is 4-3-2 overall and 2-0 in conference. Their two conference wins were a 1-0 victory against Green Bay and a 3-2 win over Youngstown State. Lauren Borchert and Marcella Sizer both have recorded a team-high two goals. Olivia Mace is moving on pace with assists like last year as she's dished out three during the 2023 campaign to date. Kiera Sarka has played most of the games in net, playing in nine. She owns two clean sheets and 45 saves so far.
