Goal by Norris Earns RMU a 1-1 Tie

Bramer records first career assist

Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw in a non-conference test against St. Bonaventure. The Colonials are now 3-3-3 on the season and remain 1-2 in Horizon League play. The Bonnies are now 4-3-2 in 2023 and remain 1-1 in their conference.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Following the first seven minutes of no action, both sides started to gather more shot attempts.

Over the next 25 minutes, each side recorded six shots each, but neither team could find the back of the net.

After 45 minutes, the game remained scoreless.

Shortly into the second half, Bo Drath on the Bonnies was issued a yellow card. Giving up a free-kick in a dangerous location, a solid chance was on the verge of being executed by the Colonials.

Sophomore Anass Hadran curled in a cross deep in St. Bonaventure's box. A defender headed it back out right to Mats Bramer. The German headed it back near goal, and as he was moving backwards, midfielder Gabe Norris chipped the ball over the goalie's head and into the back of the net with his left foot.

Just four minutes later though, the Bonnies responded and tied up the game, 1-1.

Looking to regain the lead, the Colonials put forth some quality chances as the visitors found themselves in foul trouble. For the remainder of the second half, SBU was given seven yellow cards.

In the 70th minute, Kai McLoughlin ripped a shot just high over the crossbar. In the next chance seven minutes later, Logan Gilley on the run almost scored, hitting the woodwork.

The last 10 minutes saw no more shots on target, and both teams walked away with a tie.
