HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The RMU women's basketball team closed out their three-game road trip with a loss to Northern Kentucky, 83-51 on Wednesday night. With the loss, RMU drops to 6-12 overall and 2-7 in the Horizon League while Northern Kentucky improves to 3-13 overall and 1-6 in conference action.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
The Colonials got off to one of their slowest starts of the season as they missed seven out of their first eight field goal attempts. Northern Kentucky took full advantage of the missed shots and turnovers as the Norse jumped out to a 22-2 lead at the three-minute mark in the first quarter.
RMU started to gain some momentum in the second quarter as the Colonials went on an 11-0 run to cut the Northern Kentucky lead to nine points as the score was 31-22 with four minutes remaining in the second frame. During the run,

Rebecca Dwomoh also made a three-pointer during the Colonials best offensive showing of the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Dwomoh led the Colonials with 10 points and six rebounds in her fifth start of the season. Vuletich added seven points, four rebounds, one assist, and one block for the visiting team.

The Colonials will return home for the first time in almost two weeks as they'll host Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+.
