MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU volleyball is prepared for their first conference road battle when they take on Oakland this weekend. The first match is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. and can be seen streaming live on ESPN+.

RMU LATELY
The Colonials are coming off an intense five set victory against Youngstown State on Tuesday night. With the win, RMU improves to 2-1 in Horizon League action as they split the first conference matchup against Purdue Fort Wayne this past weekend. Graduate outside hitter Jaaliyah Evans put together the best statistical performance of her career against YSU as she compiled a team-high 20 kills on 50 total attacks.
 
SCOUTING OAKLAND
The Golden Grizzlies go into this weekend with a 4-11 overall record and a 0-3 mark in Horizon League action. Most recently, Oakland lost in four sets at Cleveland State on Tuesday night. On defense, the Golden Grizzlies lead the Horizon League in opponent blocks as they've allowed just 99.5 blocks over 58 sets.

ALL-TIME VS GOLDEN GRIZZLIES
This will be the 15^th meeting all-time between the two schools as RMU has just three wins in the series. However, the Colonials dominated the most recent meeting last season when RMU won in four sets. Natalie Stepanovich led all players with 23 kills while Azra Eric recorded a season-high five total blocks against Oakland.

HOME COOKING
After a successful weekend at the UPMC Events Center, RMU is tied with Cleveland State with the best home record in the Horizon League. Both squads are 4-2 at their home venues as the Colonials have won three out of their last four home contests to help boost them to a 7-7 overall record.

UP NEXT
The Colonials will stay on the road next weekend when they take on IU Indy to continue conference play. The first match of the series will be on Friday, October 11 at 6 p.m. and the concluding match is set for Saturday, October 12 at 2 p.m.
