MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa.  – Three RMU players scored in double-figures in its 79-51 home opening victory over Chatham on Sunday afternoon at the UPMC Events Center. Alvaro Folgueiras recorded a career-high 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Ryan Prather Jr. also had a career-high 19 points and Dilen Miller scored 10 off the bench as the Colonials (1-2) earned its first victory of the year. Blaine Gartley scored 12 points for the Cougars (1-1).
 
1^st HALF
Josh Omojafo's 3-pointer midway through the 1^st half gave RMU its first double-figure lead of the game at 21-11. A pair of Prather's foul shots put the Colonials up 17 points before Chatham closed out the half with a pair of baskets that made the score 38-25 going into halftime.
 
2^nd HALF
RMU opened the 2^nd half on a 13-0 run and extend its lead to 30 points at 60-30 on an Amarion Dickerson layup at the 12:58 mark. Miller gave the Colonials its largest lead of the game at 34 points when his 3-pointer made the score 79-45.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
RMU made 50% of its shots (28-56) and 39% of its 3-pointers (7-18). They outrebounded Chatham 50-32 and had 22 fast break points to the Cougars' four. The Colonials turned 11 Chatham turnovers into 13 points.
 
DJ Smith had a game-high four assists and Dickerson blocked four Chatham shots. Prather was a perfect 5-5 from the line and has made all eight of his attempts this season.

UP NEXT
RMU will host the second edition of the Urban-Bennett Invitational MTE Hosted by P3R. The six-game event begins Thursday, November 14 with Lindenwood taking on New Orleans. RMU will face Stonehill in the nightcap. On Friday, November 15, New Orleans and Stonehill square off in the opener while the Colonials face Lindenwood. On the final day, Sunday, November 17, Stonehill and Lindenwood will start things of before RMU and New Orleans closes the event.
