GREEN BAY, WI. – RMU volleyball closed out their regular season schedule with a loss to Green Bay in four sets. The Colonials finished their 2024 season with a 9-20 record and a 4-14 mark in conference play.
SET 1
- RMU battled throughout the first set as there was a match-high five lead changes in this stanza.
- Both squads racked up the kills in the first set as RMU had a match-high 15 kills while Green Bay had a match-high 17 kills.
- The set started to go in Green Bay's favor when they were down 21-20 and would go on a 5-2 run to take the set from RMU.
SET 2
- The Colonials showed their fight in this set once again as they were down 17-13 until RMU went on a 4-0 run to tie the game thanks to a couple kills from Azra Eric and Hillarie Adams.
- RMU had the upper hand until later in the set when Green Bay went on a 4-1 run courtesy of two kills from Katie Schulz to make the set, 22-18.
- The Phoenix would go on to score their last five points in the set all off of Colonial errors as RMU had a match-high 11 errors in this set.
SET 3
- RMU showed their strength in this set as they had a match-high .289 hit percentage along with 13 kills.
- Once again this was a back and forth set but Green Bay started to get the upper hand as they took a 22-18 lead.
- With RMU down by four the offense came alive and went on an 8-2 run to win the set, 26-24.
SET 4
- The Colonials weren't able to carry the momentum this set with Green Bay opening the stanza with a 10-4 lead.
- RMU only had six kills in the set as they fell 25-14 in the final match of the season for the Colonials.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Jocelyn Jourdan led RMU with 13 kills with
Hillarie Adams and
Natalie Stepanovich each having nine kills.
Azra Eric finished her dominant year on the net with a team-high six blocks. In her final match,
Ashleigh Wallin led the Colonials with 23 assists and two service aces.
