MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU Volleyball closed out their home series against Milwaukee with a 3-0 loss, bringing their season record to 9-18 overall and 4-12 in Horizon League play.
SET 1
- The Colonials trailed 13-10 midway through the opening set but fought back, capitalizing on a Milwaukee service error and two consecutive points from Katie Cook.
- RMU gained a narrow 17-15 lead after Azra Eric delivered two straight service aces.
- Up 23-22, Milwaukee rallied with three straight points to take the first set, 25-23.
SET 2
- RMU started strong, building a 5-2 lead behind two service aces from Ally Christman.
- The teams traded points throughout, tying the score 10 times before Milwaukee pulled ahead 19-17.
- With a 21-19 lead, the Panthers closed out the set with a 4-point run, winning 25-19.
SET 3
- The Colonials kept pace, splitting the first 14 points to reach a 7-7 tie.
- Milwaukee then went on a decisive four-point run to jump ahead 14-9.
- The Panthers ultimately took the set 25-17, completing the sweep.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Sophomore
Natalie Stepanovich led RMU with nine kills and also recorded a team-high 15 digs. At setter,
Katie Cook tallied 15 assists, while
Ashleigh Wallin contributed 13 assists and a team-leading three aces. Defensively,
Jaaliyah Evans,
Azra Eric, and
Tatum Otolski each registered three blocks.
