YSU had six players in double figure in its 128-60 victory over Bethany on November 30. The 128 points scored was their third-most in school history while the Penguins' 68-point margin of victory was fifth all-time.

RMU and YSU began playing in 1989 have met a total of 29 times with the Penguins holding a 15-14 overall edge. In the series history, one player has played for both RMU and YSU - Vaughn Luton. He began his career at YSU for one-plus season (1984-86) before finishing out at RMU (1986-89).
