MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's hockey team will travel out to the middle of the country in Colorado for their final regular season series at Air Force. The first game of the series is scheduled for Friday, February 23 at 9:00 PM ET. The series finale will be played the following day at 7:00 PM ET. Both games will be streamed on FloHockey.
RMU LATELY
This past weekend, RMU (10-21-3, 7-15-2 #AHA20) hosted Canisius for their final home stand of the 2023-24 campaign. In two close battles, Canisius won both, claiming a 5-3 and 5-4 (OT) win at Clearview Arena. In the first contest, RMU's power play was successful, earning two power play goals. Freshman

Dallas Tulik also dished out two assists in the game. For the second game, freshman
Cameron Garvey scored for the second straight game. Reineke passed out another assist to earn his third point in the series and Tulik added in another goal, late in the third period. Across the AHA, defenseman
Mitch Andres owns 63 blocks which ranks fourth.
Starting in net for the second game was netminder
Chad Veltri. He registered 47 saves and officially became the third goalie in Atlantic Hockey history to eclipse 3,500 career saves. He's now second all-time in minutes played in conference history and closing in on reaching the second-most career saves. Veltri is also now tied for second in games played with 127.
IRONMEN
The following three players have dressed in all 34 games this season for the Colonials:

Michael Craig. On the year, Hayes has produced six goals and eight assists. Johnson and Craig both own 10 assists while Johnson also owns one goal on the year.

ALL-TIME VS. AIR FORCE
All-time, the Colonials are 17-21-4 overall against Air Force. Against the opposing program, their longest win streak was six games which occurred from 2005-06. Previously, in their last two meetings, the Colonials swept the series in the 2020-21 season, winning 4-2 and 4-1. 10 of the 42 meetings have finished in overtime and RMU is averaging 2.40 goals per game throughout the all-time series.
SCOUTING AIR FORCE
Air Force (16-17-1, 13-10-1-1 #AHA20) currently sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Hockey conference standings. With a win they'll claim a top five seed in the bracket, earning the bye for the first round of the 2024 AHA Playoff Tournament. Lately, the Falcons are coming off a series split against RIT and Sacred Heart. Statistically, they're led by Will Gavin who is the conference leader in goals (19) and Chris Hedden who owns the most assists (28).
