MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – This upcoming weekend, RMU will play a two-game set on the road at Army. The first game of the series is scheduled for Friday, February 9 at 7:00 PM. The series finale is scheduled for the following day in West Point, N.Y. at 6:00 PM. Both games will be streamed on FloHockey.
RMU LATELY
RMU (9-18-3, 6-12-2 #AHA20) is entering the weekend after earning their third sweep of the season in a home-and-home series against Mercyhurst. In Friday night's victory in Erie, Pa. the Colonials offense shined, winning 5-2. Captain
Rylee St. Onge scored against his former team in the victory. Freshman
Cameron Garvey scored RMU's last three goals, including the game-winning tally and an empty net score to secure the win. Freshmen

Jackson Reineke each dished out two assists and
Tanner Klimpke registered one goal and one assist. For game two, back in Moon Township,
Dominic Schimizzi returned to the lineup, scoring his second career goal to get the scoring going for the Colonials.
Dallas Tulik scored two for the Colonials, providing RMU's second shorthanded tally of the season and sniped in the game-winning goal in the third period. Defenseman
Luke Johnson dished out two helpers on Klimpke's tying goal and Tulik's game-winner. Graduate defenseman
Mitch Andres (55) is ranked fourth in the conference in blocks.
MAGIC NUMBER 3
Goaltender
Francis Boisvert has now won three straight games in net. During this stretch, the netminder owns a 1.67 GAA and .960 save percentage along with one shutout. From Blainville, Quebec, he's posted 30+ saves in all three of those contests. Freshman
Cameron Garvey also registered the Colonials first hat trick since the 2020-21 season. He produced three goals and one assist in the series at Mercyhurst. Also, pacing for three points last week was
Tanner Klimpke (2g, 1a) and
Dallas Tulik (2g, 1a). Tulik owns the most assists on the roster with 13 and Klimpke is the first player on the team to reach 20 points (10-10—20). He leads RMU in goals and points.

ALL-TIME VS. ARMY
Across the 28 overall games against Army, RMU is 13-9-6. Against the opposing program, they're averaging 2.82 goals-per-game in the all-time series. Seven of the 28 games have finished in overtime and the Colonials have earned four shutouts over the years. This will be the first game between the two programs since December 15, 2019. That game ended in a 1-1 tie at Clearview Arena.
SCOUTING ARMY
Army (8-19-1, 6-13-1 #AHA20) are coming off splitting a series at Bentley. They lost the first contest, 4-2 and then rebounded to win the next day, 2-1. Currently, Army is ranked last in the Atlantic Hockey conference standings, owning 20 points. Individually, forward Joey Baez is tied fourth in the conference in goals (13) and tied fifth in points produced (27). Max Itagaki is also tied sixth in the AHA in assists with 17.
