COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  – RMU's season came to an end after a 17-12 setback to Jacksonville in the First Round of the 2024 ASUN Championship.
 
1st QUARTER
Elliot Holden was the first RMU player to get on the board before Jacksonville would take a 4-1 lead at the 3:13 mark. David Burr found the back of the net at 2:48 before the Dolphins took a 5-2 lead after the first 15 minutes.
 
2^nd QUARTER
After an early JU goal, Eric Swagerty, Kean Moon, Holden, Ben Starkey and Holden again put the Colonials ahead 7-6 at 7:27. Jacksonville scored the next two goals before Burr made the contest level at 8-8 with five seconds before halftime.
 
3^rd QUARTER
The Dolphins scored five straight goals before Bobby Reaume and Moon cut the deficit to 13-10 heading into the final quarter.
 
4^th QUARTER
The teams exchanged tallies, with Holden notching his fourth of the day, before JU answered with three straight goals to make the score 17-11. Colin Davis closed out the scoring with 1:46 remaining.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Holden finished with a six points, adding two assists to his total
• 27 of RMU's 43 shots were on target
• Steven DelleMonache and James Leary each had seven ground balls
• Each team won 16 faceoffs
