MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU volleyball team is set for a home conference matchup against Youngstown State at the UPMC Events Center on Tuesday night. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m. and can be seen streaming live on ESPN+.

RMU LATELY
The Colonials split a pair of matches against Purdue Fort Wayne this past weekend in the first Horizon League contests of the season. In the first matchup against the Mastodons, RMU controlled the offensive tempo behind 42 kills and .203 hit percentage compared to Purdue Fort Wayne who had just a .050 hit percentage. Jaaliyah Evans led the Colonials with 12 kills with Hillarie Adams chipping in with 10 kills and a team-high .302 hit percentage. In the following matchup against the Mastodons, RMU lost in four sets but it didn't come without bright spots as Jocelyn Jourdan notched a career-high 19 kills along with eight digs.
 
SCOUTING YOUNGSTOWN STATE
The Penguins go into Tuesday's matchup with a 6-8 overall record and a 0-2 mark in Horizon League action. Most recently, Youngstown State lost to Green Bay in two matches this past weekend to start conference play. Junior outside hitter Abbie Householder leads the Penguins with 191 kills along with a team-high 20 aces. As a team, Youngstown State leads the Horizon League in digs with 852 total and averaging 17.39 digs per set.

ALL-TIME VS PENGUINS
The Colonials own a 10-37 all-time record against the Penguins but most recently split the season series last year. In RMU's win last season over Youngstown State, Natalie Stepanovich showed out as she had a career-high 24 kills in the five-set victory.

BLOCK MASTER
Sophomore middle blocker Azra Eric has been one of the most dominant forces on the net so far in the Horizon League as she has a conference-best 63 total blocks. Eric has played 49 sets and is averaging 1.29 b/s.

UP NEXT
RMU will make their first conference road trip as they'll head to Rochester, Michigan to face the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. First serve on Friday is set for 6 p.m. with the concluding match set for Saturday at 2 p.m.
