MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's soccer team fought to a 0-0 draw against Akron, moving to a 1-3-2 overall record in the 2024 season.
FIRST HALF HIGHLIGHTS
- Akron registered their first and only shot of the half just 30 seconds into the match. RMU's defense tightened, and the next significant attempt came in the 26th minute when Shauna Gamble's header was saved by the Zips' goalkeeper.
- RMU generated offensive momentum between the 30th and 34th minutes, posting two shots and earning three corner kicks, but they couldn't capitalize.
SECOND HALF HIGHLIGHTS
- The second half mirrored the first, with both teams struggling to create clear scoring opportunities.
- RMU's best chance came in the 87th minute when freshman Madison Hurst's shot narrowly missed the right post.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
RMU led in shots with nine compared to Akron's five and held a slight edge in corner kicks, 5-4. Akron maintained 58% possession.

Brenna Murray made three saves, securing her second clean sheet of the season—her sixth with RMU and ninth of her career.
