MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's basketball will look to push their season-best win streak to four games as they'll welcome in Wright State to the UPMC Events Center on Wednesday night.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and can be seen streaming live on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
RMU is fresh off their third win in a row as they defeated Detroit Mercy on Saturday afternoon. This is the first time in nearly two seasons that the Colonials have won three games in a row.
Raissa Nsabua had her best game as a Colonial as she had a season-high 19 points along with seven rebounds.
Noa Givon once again reached double digits with 14 points scoring in a game-high 40 minutes played.
Mya Murray almost had a double-double as she posted 12 points along with a team-high eight rebounds. Freshman
Jennica Suggs had the best game of her young career as she had 11 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. Suggs impressive two-game stretch this past week garnered attention in the conference as she was named Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Monday. The Colonials currently rank third in the Horizon League in combined team rebounds with RMU posting an average of 36.2 boards in 20 games played.
RMU AND WRIGHT STATE HISTORY
This will be the 14th matchup all-time between these two schools as the Colonials own a 7-6 record against the Raiders. RMU has lost three games in a row against Wright State with the last win coming on December 12, 2022. The Colonials have fared better at home compared to the road against the Raiders with RMU owning a 4-2 record at Moon Township compared to a 2-4 record on the road.
RMU AND WRIGHT STATE LAST TIME OUT
RMU lost in both matchups to the Raiders last season with the Colonials losing in a nail biter 80-77 at home.
Simone Morris was the leading scorer for RMU in both matchups as she had a combined 29 points in both games.
