MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU Volleyball team travels to Northern Kentucky for a pair of matches this weekend. The two matches are scheduled for Friday, October 17th, at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 18th, at 2:00 p.m. at NKU's Regents Hall.
 
RMU LATELY
The Colonials (6-12, 2-5 HL) are looking to get back in the win column after falling to IU Indy in a pair of matches last weekend. RMU is third in the league with 15.7 digs per set. Jasmine Purakal is second in the HL with 4.70 digs per set.
 
NORTHERN KENTUCKY LATELY
The Norse (10-8, 6-1 HL) are tied for first with Wright State in the Horizon league standings and swept Milwaukee last weekend. NKU leads the HL with 2.35 blocks per set and are second in the league with 12.87 kills per set. Lucy Cluxton leads all HL players with 4.8 digs per set and Ivey Stocks is third in the HL with 1.09 blocks per set. Sydney Bray is the reigning HL Player of the Week. She averaged 4.0 kills per set on a .246 hitting percentage while recording 12 digs, an ace, and two blocks in the Norse sweep of Milwaukee.
 
THE SERIES
The Colonials and Norse began the series in 2017 with NKU holding an 8-2 advantage, 7-2 in HL play. RMU is 0-3 in matches played in Highland Heights, Ky.
 
UP NEXT
The team spends the next weekend away from home beginning at Cleveland State Oct. 24-25. RMU returns to the UPMC Events Center on Tuesday Oct. 28 against Youngstown State.
