BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Despite a 4th quarter score and a chance to tie the contest inside of five minutes, Robert Morris dropped a 17-7 NEC decision to LIU on Saturday afternoon at Shark Stadium.
The Sharks (2-5, 1-2 NEC) struck first in the second quarter (13:30) with a 6-yard rushing touchdown by running back O'Shawn Ross, capping a 10-play, 66-yard drive. LIU extended its lead just before halftime with a short field following a Robert Morris (1-6, 0-2 NEC) interception. Quarterback Luca Stanzani connected with Jaiden Dozier for a 5-yard touchdown pass with 2:28 remaining in the half, putting LIU up 14-0.

Ethan Shine for a 66-yard touchdown pass, cutting the deficit in half to 14-7. However, LIU sealed the victory late in the fourth quarter with a 42-yard field goal from Will Johnson at the 1:03 mark, pushing the final score to 17-7.
Shine led the team with 143 all-purpose yards, catching eight passes for a team-high 119 yards.
Camdon Wilborn led Robert Morris with 10 total tackles, including a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss.
RMU will remain on the road, heading to Loretto, Pa. to face Saint Francis on October 25 before wrapping up their roadtrip at Stonehill on November 1. The next home game is November 8 against Wagner.
