MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU (1-6, 0-2 NEC) looks to snap its four game losing streak when it hits the road to face Saint Francis (0-6, 0-2 NEC) on Saturday afternoon in Loretto, Pa. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
 
SAINT FRANCIS LATELY                     
Saint Francis is winless on the season, dropping all six of its contests. Last week at Duquesne, the Red Flash fell 52-7 to fall to 0-2 in the NEC. Despite its record, SFU ranks sixth nationally in passing yards allowed with 156.2 per game. Quarterback Nick Whitfield Jr. is third in the NEC in total offense averaging 186.7 yards per game. On the defensive side, Geno Calgaro leads the NEC with 10.1 tackles per game and Zachary Betts is second in the league with 0.57 sacks per game.
 
THE SERIES                 
Saturday marks the 28th time the Colonials and Red Flash have met. The series goes back to Robert Morris College's first year as a program in 1994. The teams battled for 26 straight seasons with the series going on hiatus after the 2019 game. RMU and SFU renewed the rivalry in 2023. The only tie in the 329-game history of RMU football was against Saint Francis in their first meeting at the Pine Bowl, 14-14 on October 29, 1994. In all, the Colonials lead the series 18-9-1, 16-9 in NEC play, and 8-5-1 in Loretto.
 
LAST TIME OUT                      
RMU recorded its second shutout in three weeks in its 17-0 blanking of Saint Francis on October 26, 2024.
 
COMMON OPPONENTS        
RMU and Saint Francis have six common opponents this season: Central Connecticut, Duquesne, LIU, Mercyhurst, Stonehill, and Wagner
 
LOOKING AHEAD
RMU will remain on the road heading Stonehill on November 1. The next home game is November 8 against Wagner.
