MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Following a weekend sweep over Delaware, two members of the RMU women's hockey team have been recognized by Atlantic Hockey America. Sophomore forward Jessica MacKinnon was named Forward of the Week, while junior defenseman Kaitlyn Schooley earned Defenseman of the Week honors.

MacKinnon was a major offensive catalyst for the Colonials, producing three points in each contest against the Blue Hens. In the series opener, she tallied one goal and two assists before following it up with a two-goal, one-assist effort in the finale.

The Clarks Harbour, Nova Scotia native also dominated in the faceoff circle, winning 29 draws and posting a 67.4% faceoff success rate. MacKinnon has now recorded five multi-point performances this season and leads RMU in all major offensive categories — goals (5), assists (8), and points (13).

Schooley anchored the RMU blue line, leading all defensemen in points for the weekend and helping the Colonials secure back-to-back shutouts. In Friday's opener, she collected two assists for her third career multi-point game and added another helper in Saturday's win.

She now owns one goal, 17 assists and 18 points in her career.

The weekly recognition marks the second career AHA honor for MacKinnon and the first for Schooley.

Up next, RMU returns home to host No. 6 Penn State at Clearview Arena. The series opens Friday, October 31, at 3:00 PM, with the finale set for Saturday, November 1, at 5:00 PM.
