MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU softball team returns to Horizon League play this weekend with a three-game road series at Green Bay. The Colonials and Phoenix will square off in a doubleheader on Friday, March 21 beginning at 2:00 PM ET, followed by a single game on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 PM ET. All games will stream live on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
RMU (8-9, 2-1 #HLSB) enters the weekend on a four-game win streak, picking up momentum after taking the final two games of their conference-opening series against Oakland and sweeping a non-conference doubleheader against Saint Francis on Tuesday. In game one versus the Red Flash, the Colonials put up 11 runs in an 11-7 win. Game two featured late-inning drama, as
Sequoia Dunlap delivered a pinch-hit home run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, and
Anna Resnik drove in
Kaylyn Hopf for a walk-off 5-4 victory.
Freshman
Mary Brant continues to lead the Colonials in several offensive categories, including batting average (.375), slugging percentage (.825), and triples (2). Hopf has a team-high 17 hits, while
Jess Matheny leads in doubles with six. Resnik sits atop the RBI chart with 16, closely followed by
Courtney Poulich, who has tallied 14 RBI and five home runs. In the circle, senior
Madison DeVault leads the staff with three wins and 25 strikeouts.

Freshman Sara Ebner leads the offense with a .388 batting average and a team-high 13 RBI. She also holds the team's lone home run and boasts a .508 on-base percentage. Outfielder Kendal Herschbach leads Green Bay in runs scored (12) and hits (22). In the circle, Genesis Eggart owns four of the team's seven wins and carries a 6.42 ERA.
