Nick Dalton Named RMU Football Running Backs Coach

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU Football head coach Bernard Clark, Jr. has named Nick Dalton the Colonials' running backs coach.

"Coach Dalton has coached almost every position on the offensive side of the ball. It is because of that reason I decided to hire him as an assistant." said Clark. "He will not only help the RBs understand their role. He will also teach them the responsibilities of the other positions on offense."

Dalton most recently served as the quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator at Lake Erie College. In 2022, he helped lead the Storm to the top of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in passing offense, finishing first in passing yards in the G-MAC and 10th in the nation for Division 2. Lake Erie's offense also ranked first or second in the G-MAC in seven key categories, including touchdowns, completions, yards, interceptions, yards per attempt, passing average per game, and total attempts.

Prior to coaching quarterbacks, Dalton served as Lake Erie's running backs and tight ends coach in 2021. That season, he played a key role in the program's record-breaking campaign for most wins in school history while coaching the G-MAC Freshman of the Year.

Before transitioning to the college level, Dalton had a successful high school coaching career at Long Beach Polytechnic High School (Calif.) and Seminole High School (Fla.). As the quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator at Long Beach Poly, he helped lead the Jackrabbits to a Moore League title. At Seminole, he served as the defensive backs coach, helping guide the team to a perfect 12-0 record and the 2020 Florida 8A State Championship.

Dalton holds a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida.
