RMU LATELY
During their bye week from Horizon League play, RMU (27-16, 16-7 #HLSB) split a non-conference series against Bowling Green. They secured a dominant 6-0 victory, highlighted by freshman Mary Brant's three-run home run – her 10th of the season. Senior pitcher Madison DeVault was outstanding in the win, striking out 10 batters in a seven-inning shutout.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY & HORIZON LEAGUE SUCCESS
Since joining the Horizon League in 2021, the Colonials have achieved their best conference win percentage this season (.696). In the 2022 season, RMU made an impressive run to the championship game, ultimately finishing as the runner-up. Notably, RMU is the only program in the Horizon League to have qualified for the conference tournament in each of the last five years.

#HLSB LEADERS
The Colonials boast several top performers heading into the championship:
  • Redshirt junior Courtney Poulich leads the Horizon League in home runs (12), RBI (47), and slugging percentage (.741).
  • Senior Madison DeVault is the conference leader in ERA (2.48) and opposing batting average (.201), standing out as the only pitcher with an ERA below 3.00.
  • Junior Katlyn Jardine leads the league in walks (24), demonstrating exceptional patience at the plate.

RESNIK'S STREAK CONTINUES
Senior Anna Resnik extended her hitting streak to an impressive 12 games this past weekend, collecting three more hits. Over this stretch, she is batting .359 (14-for-39) with a .447 on-base percentage, contributing 10 RBI, four doubles, and two home runs. Her stellar performance earned her Horizon League Player of the Week honors during this period.

CHASING PROGRAM RECORDS
Several Colonials are within striking distance of program records:
  • Courtney Poulich's 47 RBI rank second in RMU's single-season history, just five shy of Kali Byers' record of 51 (2005). Her 11 doubles are also four away from the record of 14, held jointly by Natalie Higgins and Olivia Loruso (2018).
  • Anna Resnik's 42 runs scored this season are second in both the conference and RMU's single-season history, just three shy of Gwen Leidy's record of 44 (1997).
  • Katlyn Jardine's league-leading 24 walks are second in program history, with the record of 29 held by Kali Byers (2004) and Chelsea Siar (2012).
  • As a team, RMU has scored 267 runs this season, the second-most in program history, with the 1997 team holding the record at 293.

MILESTONE WATCH
Several Colonials are approaching career milestones:
  • Anna Resnik is just one hit away from 150 career hits, while Alaina Koutsogiani needs four more. Sophomore Kaylyn Hopf is five hits shy of 100, and Jess Matheny is nine away from reaching the century mark.
  • Madison DeVault is two strikeouts away from 300 in her career. With 13 more, she will enter the top 10 in program history for strikeouts.
