MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's soccer team has been picked to finish fourth in the Horizon League for the 2025 season, according to the annual Under Armour #HLWSOC Preseason Poll, voted on by the league's head coaches.
 
The Colonials' fourth-place prediction comes on the heels of another successful campaign where they advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament for the second consecutive season.
 
Last season, the Colonials finished with a 6-7-6 overall record and a 4-3-3 mark in conference play. Despite being predicted sixth in the 2024 preseason poll, they outperformed expectations, entering the conference tournament as the No. 4 seed.
 
Head Coach Michelle Rick now enters her second season with the program.
 
Seven-time defending champion Milwaukee was tabbed as the 2025 preseason favorite, earning 10 first-place votes and 120 total points. Northern Kentucky was predicted to finish second with 105 points, while Detroit Mercy received one first-place vote and was predicted to finish third with 98 points.
